If we cut a sphere with a plane or some planes, we obtain different spherical figures and also we obtain different regions on the spherical surface:

• SPHERICAL SPINDLE: it is the part of the spherical surface that it is between two maximum circumferences. Its area we can calculate as:

• SPHERICAL WEDGE: it is the part of sphere that it is between two maximum cirles which have common diameters and also the corresponding spherical spindle.Its volume we can calculate as::

• SPHERICAL SKULL-CAP: It is the part of the spherical surface that it is between a plane which is perpendicular to the axis of the sphere and its pole. Its area we can calculate as:

• SPHERICAL SEGMENT OF A BASE: it is the part of spere that is limited by a spherical skull-cap and the plane which cuts al sphere. Its volumen we can calculate as:
