DIAMETER OF CRATERS.



The rate of cratering decreases rapidly with crater siza-fresh craters are very few and far between, but small craters are very common; because there just aren´t very many large chunks among the interplanetary debris, so their collisions with the Moon are rare. So, the more we go back in time, more large was the meteoroids, and we can see craters of all size. The largest lunar craters are hundreds of Kilometers in diameters, the smallest are microscopic. The more large is the diameter of the meteoroid, more large is the diameter of its crater.
